Fall Wear..Bottoms

Today we are going to take a look at some bottoms for the Ladies&Fellas for this Fall Season.

When it comes to the cooler weather the options for bottoms are almost endless, for the ladies anyways. Yes your shorts, skirts, and dresses are made for the warmer months. However, throwing on some leggings or tights under them, will allow you to get more wear out of them throughout the year. When it comes to the fellas, cords..jeans..khakis.etc. are what you can look forward to in the Fall. Now, you may be able to catch a couple of the warmer Fall Days, & slide on a pair of shorts..but for the most part your legs will be covered.

Now, we all know that over the spring and summer months the colored skinny jeans were in. Most stores carried them in multiple colors making it fairly easy to find a pair; and affordable at that. Some places to shop for colored skinny jeans include: Forever 21, Nasty Gal, 21Men, Zara, Express..etc.

To start things off, take a look at both Eva Longoria and Justin Bieber! As you can see their outfits consist of the colored skinny jean that was mentioned above. Eva's jeans are a light color which does not take on the full attention of the look. Rather it sort of gives the look a little pop of color; in a very subtle way though. Whereas with Justin's look, you are forced to not only see the jeans..but the shoes as well. (The jeans force your eyes downward, immediately) That red color always makes a statement when it is worn with neutral or darker colors. When you compare the two looks side by side, Eva's look is subtle & Justin's is making a statement.

Now, to incorporate these bottoms into your fall wardrobe is a piece of cake. For some background information though, Fall is known for the darker shades such as your: burgundy, army greens, navy blues, mustards..etc. However, No one said that wearing darker colors in the Fall is a requirement..thus are reasoning for going for these brighter colors. Choosing colors such as these will catch others attention, and allow you to stand out in a crowd. To tone them down for Fall however, we suggest going with neutral shades..as suggested above when wearing a red color.

For an example, going with a grey blouse and a darker shoe would have pushed Eva's look into the Fall category. Whereas Justin's look does not need any alterations in order to make it acceptable to wear in Fall, in our opinion.

Moving right along, let's check out David's look to our left. He is seen here with a grey t-shirt, a tribal pull-over, khaki pants, boots, and a beanie. Sounds like the perfect casual look for the Fall. Not only do the khakis complement this Fall look..but the beanie, pull-over & boots push it right into that category.

To recreate all you would need is:

A tee in a darker shade
Some khakis
Tribal Cardigan
Beanie
 & Boots.

As you can see it does not take much to get a casual look such as this and it is one that you can create over and over.

To change it up you could go with:

A lighter tee
Jean Jacket
Burgundy Beanie
White Shoes.

So you would keep the khakis but change up the rest of the pieces. In the end you will end up with a very similar look to the original yet it will be slightly different. Both will be Fall appropriate, and provide you with more pieces to interchange for more outfits.

Finally, let's take a look at the infamous Rih Rih! Now Ladies, we all know how much we LOVE our beloved leggings..well most of us anyways. They go with multiple outfits, come in all different colors and patterns, and most importantly they are comfortable.
Rih's look is perfect for the Fall, it's not too light and not too heavy. The leggings and jean jacket should give you just the right amount of coverage from the chillier days. Also, those boots of hers give strong indications that this is Fall appropriate look.

Interested in trying it out? Here are some pieces to get you in a similar outfit.

Graphic Tee
Jean Jacket
Liquid Leggings
& Boots

All those items can be worn with other looks, making them useful. Whereas having that one vibrant blouse, that only looks good with those one pair of pants....yeah, this look that we recreated is far from those limitations.

Maybe you want to go with a little variation to this look. Check out the pieces below that can make this happen.

Light Sweater
Trench Coat
& Boots

Obviously you would keep the leggings for this look. Hopefully both looks with the incorporation of the leggings, gave you some ideas on some Fall looks.

There you have it Ladies&Gents! Some ideas for Fall bottoms to keep you warm, and fashionable throughout the season. Remember to keep all of the ideas that we give you handy because many of the looks can be translated into Winter looks as well.

Till Next Time Folks!

Coral Craze: Ladies Edition.

This week we are diving into the coral craze. Recently we have seen an influx of coral being worn and sold in stores, so why not make a post about the color. Now coral is one of those colors that have different tones and ranges. This goes from a very muted to a bright neon coral, and the color can be more on a pink, red, or orange tone. It is all a matter of what type of look you are going for and what you feel most comfortable in. Continue reading to get some inspiration!

First up is this cut-out dress from Rihanna. As you can see her coral is more on the muted scale and it goes quite well with her vibrant hair. It makes sense for her to go with more of a muted tone because a brighter coral would compete with her hair. This dress is very form fitting and the cut-out is something that is popular currently as well. She kept the rest of her look really, really simple with a gold chain necklace and wrist watch. To complement the look she went with a nude pointed shoe.

If you want you could purchase the exact same dress, which we found to be close to $400! But something more affordable would be this dress here. It has a similar color, cut-out sides, and the buttons in the front; along with those it is the perfect light weight material and fit for the summer. To make your look complete we suggest that you go with either a nude or leopard shoe. As well as a nice gold wrist watch, necklace, and stud earrings. If you want to add some color to this look we suggest going with a green or turquoise, which could be incorporated through accessories. There you have it something very similar to what Rih-Rih has on but yet still your own look.

Next up, we are going to look at a causal look given to us by Mrs. Lala Anthony. Her pants are where the coral color comes in, allowing us to see the orangey side of coral. She paired her pants with a graphic white tank from H&M, which really gives the pants the opportunity to stand out for this look. For shoes she went with an animal print heel, giving the look a little print. To top this look off she went with silver accessories. Like Rihanna this look is very simple, and not hard to replicate. The simplicity of the look allows the pants to really be that statement piece for the outfit and not get lost within the look.

Start out with these jeans to keep close to Lala's look. Put on either a white tank, or even a tank with a little color in it to keep the look vibrant. For shoes we suggest that you try a tribal print wedge or even a pair of chucks to make the look more casual. For accessories you could keep it similar to Lala with silver hoops, bangles, and rings

Our final look is from Kim Kardashian. She is giving us the red side of coral, as you can see it is more of the brighter of the tones. She wore a pair of high-waisted, flare-legged trousers in a nude color. The color of the pants allows the shirt to be the statement piece for this look. Keeping with muted colors, she carried a camel colored bag, and nude heels. It looks like she has on a pair of silver or gold hoops, and large sunglasses. All of which comes together to make an amazing look.

Well there you all have it, we went in depth with 3 different looks allowing you to see how to wear the color coral. We hope that you found something that you can take with you when it comes to this color. Check out the looks below to see how many different shades that coral comes in.

Button-Ups for Women! (Fall Essential # 2)

Okay ladies..for this post we are giving you fall essential 2...button-ups! ((In case you forgot or missed out on fall essential 1, click here)) Button-Ups are great for the fall and are really versatile, meaning they can be dressed up or down. They can also be layered over and under items and come in all different prints, colors, materials, and styles. With that being said...let's get into today's post!

Okay so look one comes from Megan Fox. In the picture to the left, Megan did a magazine photoshoot in a pretty casual outfit involving a button up. She is seen in a Purple/Pink Plaid Button Up with a black/cream graphic tee layered underneath. She paired the tops with a pair of black denim shorts. For accessories she did a bangle, ring, and layered some necklaces. We can't see the shoes, but it would look good with a number of different things like Ked type shoes or lace-up boots. This is a pretty casual outfit that can be replicated with ease and you can even make it your own by switching up a few things.

To get a look similar to Megan's while still making it your own... you can do this Red/Cream Plaid Boyfriend Shirt. Leave the shirt open and layer this Plain Yellow V-Neck Tee underneath. For bottoms you can do this pair of Denim Black Skinny Jeans and cuff them like Kim's. For shoes you can do these to keep it casual and accessorize it with just a pair of large hoops. We also suggest that if you want to keep with the shorts look, to do something like these ones..and then put some colored tights underneath. To keep you cozy when those cool fall breezes come through.
This look is quite simple to create, and the pieces incorporated with it can go with many different outfits as well. Giving you many more outfit ideas!

The next look comes from, blog fave! Rihanna! Now this button-up differs from the first because it's a lighter fabric as well as it does not have the bold plaid print on it. We would suggest this type of button-up if you were going out with a few friends (depending on how you dressed it up) or just to run a few errands in. Since we are discussing Fall Essentials, we're going to give you a few tips to recreating this outfit that will be fall appropriate.

Starting out with a top like this one, you could easily tuck it into a light washed denim similar to Rihanna's and cuff them at the bottom. A look that would be highly acceptable for the fall. Just because the shirt is light enough to not be too heavy yet provide warmth..and the cuffed jeans allows you to show a little leg, but not too much. Shoe wise we suggest going with a pair of oxfords or even a version of ked's. Don't forget about a thin belt to go in those belt loops!
Dressing this outfit up wouldn't take more then just a change of shoes** and adding more accessories, such as: these layered pearls or layered chain necklaces and some extra bangles. Also adding the red lip would take this look from day to night.

Finally we have Kourtney K. showing us that mom's can be cute too, in a jean button up. Our all time favorite button-up. It is soooo versatile! Here we have Kourtney in a very casual look..something that the majority of us college students can easily recreate. Simply because when going to class we want to be cute, but not over-dressed and this is one outfit that will not let you down!
She is seen here with a jean shirt, with a deep-vneck,..some leggings and some super cute fringe boots. She brought some color into her outfit by adding her bright orange purse, however the purse is not necessary.
Now to recreate this look, we suggest that you of course start out with a jean shirt. You may get it a size bigger depending on if you are wanting more of a loose flowing, casual look. Underneath that you can do any solid colored v-neck..you may even do like a simple graphic tee just to add a little extra to your outfit. Throw on some black leggings..or if you want to jazz it up a little some printed leggings.
Sidenote: If you're going to do the printed leggings we suggest that you do a solid tee versus a graphic, just because it may be too much on the eyes. So as always: Keep it simple! To finish it off throw on some boots, over your leggings and you're ready to go.
As stated previously this look does not have to include the purse..however to bring in some color else where how about a colored lip? or colored accessory of some sort? Either way when wearing simplistic looks with neutrals..try and add some color in there somewhere to give the look that "WOW" factor!

Dressing this look up would be very simple...
Keep the clothing portions the same, but change a few things
1. Button the a few of the buttons @ the bottom..leaving about 3 or 4 remaining at the top.
2. Take a slim belt and place it high up on the waist, drawing the shirt and your waist (visually) in.
3. Instead of a flat boot, throw on a heeled boot.
4. For color you can have a colored clutch or a red lip would be perfect with this look.
5. With longer hair; slick it back and put it in a high bun..basically anything that will keep the hair out of your face.

All of these button ups would be able to be swapped out and used with any of the other outfits mentioned. It is just a matter of accessories and mainly ideas...The easiest for the fall would be the last look. Throwing on some leggings, a tee, and a button-up takes max 5 mins, so we would say that this could be your go-to outfit for fall. Because it is certainly ours!
We hope that our first post back was of interest! Remember in all of your outfits..if you're not sure what to do try just go simple, you can NEVER go wrong.
Thanks for ALL the LOVE&SUPPORT, be sure to comment and stay tuned this for the upcoming posts!
-VintageMahogani.

**Although these boots are pretty pricey, they are well worth it. You'll not only get to wear them with this fab outfit..but many many more! Plus they're really cute, and can transition into the warmer weather!

Summer Series 2: Floral Print

Okay so last week we did a summer color post regarding color-blocking your outfits which is really big this summer. This week we are going back to a summer print...floral! This is always a popular print when it comes to Spring and Summer and quite a few celebrities wear floral print. So we're going to show you a few celebs that incorporate the print in their wardrobe and how to get similar looks.

Okay...let's start with floral tops...

To the left, Jayma Mays is seen with a floral print, tie-neck blouse on. She wore the top with a pair of Rebecca Minkoff trouser shorts and camel colored pumps. She didn't do much to accessorize the outfit just a few bangles and a pair of studs if any earrings were worn. Now this look would be extremely easy to achieve.
Start with this Cream/Coral Floral & Lace Top and pair it with these Light Olive Linen Blend Paperbag Shorts. For shoes do something similar to this pair of Cognac Mutli-Buckle Strap Heel Sandals. To accessorize this outfit just do a pair of large gold hoops and then a bangle like this Gold/Orange Cleo Bangle Set
Okay so that was more of a dressy look for the top..if you wanted to wear it casually, try this pair of Purple Vibrant Skinny Ankle Jeans . The color of these pants/jeans will pop against the colors of the flowers in the top. You can wear the same accessories as you did with the dressy outfit and do a pair of sandals similar to these Tan Studded Suede Sandals

Moving right along to floral printed bottoms..

First, we're going to look a very casual look from Vanessa Hudgens to the right. She is seen in a black tank, floral printed skirt, and black strappy sandals. For accessories she did a few bangles, a necklace, and stud earrings. This look is also super easy to achieve.

To get this look, try this Black/Magenta Abstract Floral Print Skirt and pair it with Knit Basic Tank in Black. For shoes just do what Vanessa did and do a pair of flat sandals like this pair of Black T-Strap Sandals. For accessories you can do a pair of silver studs and this Silver Skeleton Key Necklace

Now if you wanted to do a dressier look with floral print bottoms, look to the left. Jamie Chung  is seen in a pair of floral printed shorts, a loose fitting tank tucked in, and a blazer thrown on top. For accessories she did a bangle and necklace and put on a pair of nude pumps.

To kind of recreate this look you can do this pair of Navy/Purple Floral Print Shorts. Then tuck in this Turquoise Soft Racerback Tank to make something about the outfit stand out since all the colors are dark and put this Grey Cuffed Blazer on top of it. As far as shoes and accessories go, you can do this pair of Taupe Matte Platform Pumps, large gold hoops, and the orange/gold bangle listed in the first tip to add another pop of color to the outfit.

Lastly....a floral printed dress...! ---->

To the right, blog favorite Rihanna is seen in a fitted floral printed dress and black lace up peep-toe booties. For accessories, she did a long necklace, hoop earrings, and a bangle. Now this dress can be worn casually and dressy with ease.

To a get a look similar to Rihanna's try this Coral/Cream Floral Pleats Dress . This dress can be worn casually and dressy as well believe it or not. To wear it casually, throw on this Acid Wash Denim Vest and leave it open. As far as shoes and accessories go, try these Black Leatherette T-Strap Sandals, silver studs, and a simple silver bangle.
To dress this dress up...take off the denim vest and just put on a pair of pumps similar to these Black Faux Suede Platform Pumps. Then accessorize it really simple with a pair of large silver hoops and a cute silver bangle.

Well ladies...we hope that we gave you some helpful tips and cute outfit ideas for floral print. Don't forget to leave any questions or comments you may have and be on the look out for our video on Friday showing how we incorporate floral print in our wardrobe!

Also....next week will be the last Summer Series 2 post so we can get everyone ready for Fall Wear! :-)

Summer Series 2: Colors and Prints- Orange

As our summer series 2 continues..we did a print last week and now we're doing a color. So...judging from the title of the post, today's tip will be over the color orange. This is a color that is always appropriate for summer and can be found for the color of a number of different items. It sounds rather simple to incorporate an orange piece of clothing in your wardrobe, but we want to show you a few ways you can add more color to your outfits besides you pairing it with tan or jean material. Also... Excuse the tardiness on the post ladies... With that being said, let's hop right into today's post!

An orange top is pretty simple to throw into your wardrobe and can easily be paired with a pair of jeans or tan shorts/pants. But for this look, we're going to show you how to pair it with a few different options on bottoms. As seen to the right, Elle MacPherson has on an orange blouse, a pair of white pants, and tan wedges. As far as accessories, she just did a bangle on each arm and a pair of sunglasses.
To get a casual look with an orange top, start with this Orange Rebel Spirit Tank from Forever 21. This top will cater to this extremely hot weather and won't be that hot to wear. As far as pants, try something similar to this pair of White, High-Waist Cigarette Jeans from Urban Outfitters. For shoes, try adding color by doing these Lime Green Almond Toe Pumps from Charlotte Russe. As far as accessories go, you can do something like these Gold Classic Hoop Earrings and a bangle like this ---> Gold Snake Chain Bracelet and you're set!
For a dressy look with an orange top try this Gnarled Rosette Top then pair it with a skirt similar to this Royal Blue Ponte Puckered Stripes Skirt, both from Forever21. As far as shoes and accessories go, try these Nude Almond-Toe Pumps and do the same pair of Gold Classic Hoop Earrings and this Gold/Cream/Black ZigZag Stretchy Bracelet.

Moving along to dresses...Blake Lively is seen to the left in an orange, maxi dress. The material makes it a little on the dressy side but is a very easy look to achieve. For accessories, she did a bangle on one arm and a ring on the opposite hand of the bracelet.
To get a similar look while still making it your own, try something different like this Rust Knit Maxi Dress. Remove the belt that it comes with and try something like this Taupe Leatherette Belt. For shoes keep it simple and casual with this pair of Cream/Gold Sandals. Then do something similar to these pair of Gold Rhinestone Petal Studs and this  Vibrant Jagged Bracelet to add  color that pops against the rust color of the dress.
For a dressier look with an orange dress, try this Orange Retro Woven Dress . Pair it with something similar to this pair of Leopard Ruffle Peeptoe Booties or this pair of Leopard Platform Pumps , whichever ones you prefer. As far as accessories go...add some color that will pop against that orange dress in your bangle and do something similar to this Gold/Turquoise Bangle Set and keep the earrings simple by doing a pair of hoops like these Gold Textured Flats Hoops.

Now for orange bottoms...we're going to show/give you 3 different looks/tips!

For orange bottom look 1..we chose Ashely Tisdale in a pair of orange moon shorts. As seen below to the right, she paired her orange moon shorts with a white, graphic loose-fitting top and pair of flats. For accessories, she added more color to the outfit with a turquoise/jade collar necklace and a pair of sunglasses.
To get a similar look to Ashley's start with this pair of Rust Woven Shorts and pair it with this Tribal Print Crop Top with a turquoise cami layered underneath. For shoes...do something similar to these Cognac Platform Sandals and do this Paint the Rainbow Bangle Set and Gold Textured Flats Hoops for accessories . To do a dressier version of this outfit...try these Orange Lace Shorts w/Belt and replace the belt it comes with with a grey one similar to this Grey Leatherette Skinny Belt , then pair it with something similar to this Black/White Woven Abstract Spots Top. Then do a pair of grey or black pumps and some silver accessories.

For orange bottom look number 2...we chose LC in a very casual, cute outfit. She is seen to the left wearing an orange printed skirt that is belted with a tan belt. She paired it with a plain black tee and a pair of black flats. A rather simple outfit that can be easily achieved. To get a similar look to Lauren's but still making it your own, try this Rust colored Paperbag Skirt and replace the belt that it comes with a printed belt like this Floral Print Belt. Pair the skirt with a plain tee like this Teal Basic Round Neck Top and a simple pair of flats like these Oatmeal Canvas Wingtips. As far as accessories go... try either pair of those hoops  Gold Textured Flats Hoops or Gold Classic Hoop Earrings and a bangle set like this Geo Pop Bangles to add some more color!
The last look for orange bottoms comes from Rihanna, who is a constant feature on VintageMahogani. What can we say...homegirl is fly! Lol

For this look..we chose a picture of her wearing orange harem-like pants. To the right, Rih-Rih is seen wearing a pair of orange harem-like pants with a cropped, purple sweater. For shoes and accessories, she has on gold pumps, a bangle, and large gold hoops. To get a look similar to Rihanna's but not with the same exact items...start with this pair of Rust Knit Harem Pants. Pair it with this Cocoa/Black Tribal Crop Top and this pair of Nude Almond-Toe Pumps. For accessories you can do either pair of the gold hoops listed in the tips and then add some color to the outfit by doing something similar to this Gold/Turquoise Bangle Set.

Well ladies...we hope that we gave you some cute outfit ideas on incorporating orange in your wardrobe besides pairing it with the normal pair of jeans and/or tan bottoms! :-)

Tips Tuesdays: Fedora Hats!

This week's tip is going to be over how to wear a Fedora hat, casually and dressy of course. I know we've all seen them worn by celebrities and just normal people like you and I. We're getting style inspiration from  blog favorite, Rihanna. Throughout the post, you'll be observing what she puts with her different fedora hats and how versatile they really are!

Look 1: Casual Fedora Look

In the picture to the right Rihanna is seen wearing her fedora hat with a cow print screen tee, denim high waisted shorts, a taupe sweater wrap, and oxford shoes. As far as accessories she kept it simple. Even though she has on both a necklace and earrings, both are simple as far as "gaudiness"; the earrings are big, but the necklace is simple. This look would be considered casual, and could be worn to the mall or just a simple lunch with friends. You could even wear this on campus. We know summer is almost here and it's hot outside, so we will help you recreate the outfit to cater to the weather! :-)

Let's start with this Basketweave Fedora with Trim in the natural color from Forever21. You could pair it with this White and Black Cropped Peace Tee and Classic Cuffed Denim Shorts. For shoes you can do these pair of Grey Leatherette Wingtip Shoes. As far as accessories go, keep it simple with these Gold Twisted Hoop Earrings. Do this Gold and Multi-Colored Umbrella Charm Necklace and Gold and Coral Oval Shield Ring to give the outfit a simple pop of color.

If you wanted to make the outfit pop in the form of clothing instead of accessories you could this pair of Red, Frayed Denim Shorts. For accessories do this Silver Hinge Feather Pendant Necklace, Silver Layered Hoop Earrings, and Silver Bangles. Keep the same shoes and you're on your way!

Here Rihanna is (to the right) in another casual outfit with her fedora hat. She is wearing a printed romper with jeweled sandals and few accessories (studs, sunglasses and bracelets).

To achieve this simple look you could start with this Bronze/Black Basketweave Fedora also from Forever21. For a romper just do this Black Basic Tube Top Romper and pair it with these sandals 1 , 2 (or if you're feeling "fancy"): 3. Keep it simple with your accessories but also have fun with them. We suggest you do these Black Flower Stud Earrings out of the studs set and Wild Side Animal Print Bangles.

If you wanted to do a dressier version of this outfit you could do this Black Lace Racerback Jumper with a pair of these Black Floral Lace Heels to keep the lace theme. For accessories, pair this Black/Gold Snap Button Braided Bracelet  with a pair of Gold Chain Link Hoop Earrings.

Look 2: Dressy Fedora Look

For the dressy fedora look, we're taking inspiration from this outfit of hers with a printed bustier/corset type top tucked into a pair of cream and black polka dot shorts. For shoes, you can see she paired her outfit with nude, studded Louboutins (apparently she was feeling fancy..lol). As far as accessories go she has on gold doorknocker earrings and layered gold bangles. We're going to tell you how to get a similar look that you can be comfortable in as far as prints but we'll throw some pieces in there for you to wear if want to be "expressive" with your outfit that day! :-)

Start out with this Tan Basketweave Fedora with Floral trim  (seen worn by MBOU Candace Jordan )from Forever21. You can pair it with this Purple Ruched Chiffon Corset Top from Charlotte Russe. For bottoms you can do these Flared Floral Shorts or if you're feeling "expressive" ..lol...like we said, you can do this pair of Peach/Nude Tiered Lace Shorts. As far as shoes, both pair of shorts would look great with a pair of nude heels, whether they're Strappy, Peep Toe , or a Regular Pump! For accessories, go ahead and do like rihanna with a Large Pair of Gold Earrings and layer bangle set 1 and 2!

Hopefully we gave you some helpful tips on all the different ways you can wear your fedora hats and we hope to see you rocking similar outfits to the ones we've advised you on! :-)

Tips Tuesday: Old School Week!!

This week we thought we'd do a fun theme as far as tips. We chose the theme of incorporating an old school/retro piece in your wardrobe this week, how to do it, and examples of how to show you how. Everyone should know by now that the 90s and 80s were probably the best decades of our lives..lol. The fashion back then was really fun too. Very carefree and bright colored clothing, gaudy accessories, and yesss for the shoes! Lol..For the ladies we decided on 3 different old school pieces/looks to suggest for incorporating in your wardrobe this week: Harem pants, "The Madonna Look", and Big Reader/Geek Chic glasses.

Piece 1: Harem Pants

Harem pants were big back when McHammer came out with can't touch this, they were know as hammer pants back then. Recently, they have come back with a vengeance and are really popular amongst celebs and "regular" people like you and I. Harem pants can be very versatile as far as dressing them up and dressing them down. We will show you a casual outfit and how to achieve the same look.

Our harem pants look is brought to you by Rihanna of course! As seen in the picture she has on black harem pants paired with a black and white striped tank tucked. For shoes, she kept it simple with plain black pumps. This outfit is very SIMPLE and easy to achieve; it could even be considered casual. If you wanted to make this outfit pop, you could put on some brightly colored pumps and layer some necklaces. We're posting some links to give you a different color/version of the outfit to make it your own!

Outfit Option 1: Tan Harem Pants  , Red Cami , Smoke Leopard Heels , Bronze and Black Necklace, Black/Bronze/Gold Bangles

Outfit 2:
Grey Harem Pants, Pink and Grey Leopard Print Tank, Black Suedette Pumps, Silver Hoops, Silver Bangles , and to make the outfit pop... Bright Pink Clutch !

Piece 2: The Madonna Look

Back in the 80s the "Madonna look" was in! She was known for wearing a sheer/ lace corset type top with a layered skirt. She brought more attention to the outfit by layering a lot of pearl necklaces. If one were to try to go for this look, it would look best at a party of some type of event at night. To achieve a modern day version of this look you could pair a cute fitted skirt or even harem pants! If you do this, keep the bottoms simple. For instance, you could do a black lace corset like top with black harem pants. For accessories, of course the layered necklaces and maybe some printed or brightly colored pumps to make the outfit pop!

Outfit Option 1: Black Satin Corset, Harem Pants, Printed Pumps, and layered necklace!
Outfit Option 2: Lace Corset, Jean Jacket(roll up the sleeves , Fitted Skirt, Bright Heels, and layered chains!

Piece 3: Big Reader/ "Geek Chic Glasses"

This is one of my favorite accessories to wear. They are so versatile and can be worn with anything...if you wear them right. They can be worn with a casual outfit like distressed jeans, plain tee, and maybe some high top chucks. Here we have Leona Lewis wearing her glasses effortlessly. She wore them with a black shirt, with a black blazer over top of it. For bottoms, she wore a black and white stripped skirt and black platform heels.

So here are a few links, for some of the ever popular geek chic glasses: Option 1 and two

Motivational Monday: Quote of the Day!

“The only rule is don't be boring and dress cute wherever you go. Life is too short to blend in.” -Paris Hilton

We chose this quote because to us it is saying be an individual. Don't blend in with others; be confident, stand out, and make others love and feel your style. I know it's easier said then done, but once you find the inner confidence to stand out, it's way easier because you will feel comfortable and eventually let go of that mind frame that you have to look like everyone else.

Rihanna is seen here in 2 different looks. Both of them are stand out outfits that a person wouldn't normally put together, but she looks FABULOUS in them. She is truly a trendsetter in fashion as well as hair. I mean, who didn't have at least one version of a "Rihanna cut" or hairstyle...I have one right now! Lol.. With that being said, you can always take style inspiration from someone, but make your style your own. Stand out and be confident!

Trendsetting Thursday: jean shorts!

Summer is quickly approaching and there are a few essentials that you can not survive without when it comes to your wardrobe. Jean shorts are one of these essentials and today we just want to give you some ideas when it comes to wearing them. As shown in this first picture of Rhianna, she kept it very simple and causual when it came to her jean shorts. Pairing it with an oversized white button up shirt definitely allowed the simplicity of this outfit to come alive. She made sure to go overboard with her accessories with this outfit, but in doing so it didn't take away from it at all.

The second picture gives you a look at some jean shorts on more of the dressed up side. Pairing these jean shorts with an oversized pastel pink blazer and peep toe pumps gives them a totally different feel compared to the first outfit.

So all in all, these two outfis shown here give you a few ideas when it comes to wearing your essential jean shorts this upcoming summer! =)
