J-Brand Cargo Pants

In case you didn't notice, this week's tips and trends are revolved around cargo pants. A must-have for anyone's wardrobe. They can be worn in spring, summer, or fall and are really are timeless piece of clothing to own. J- Brand cargo pants are big amongst celebrities and were seen worn by Jessica Alba, Khloe Kardashian, and Rihanna. Just  few places that this brand of cargo pants can be found at are Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom. But if you're on a budget and can't necessarily splurge on the J Brand cargo pants, we found some pieces very similar to them. Guy's Fashion Tip: How to wear your cargo shorts!

 This week we decided for the men's side of fashion, we would keep with the theme of cargo pants which we discussed yesterday. Depicted here, Chris Brown is shown wearing camlaflouge cargo shorts. The graphic tee and jean jacket allow for this outfit to be casual yet event ready material. His red Bape high-tops add a pop of color to this otherwised washed out outfit. Not to say that keeping colors on a muted scale when dressing is a negative; it just makes the outfit that much better when there is an unpredicted splash of color or pattern thrown in there. Features added, such as this can take your look to the next level. As we all know, Chris is known for keeping it current with his fashion and you men out there may keep him in mind when trying to pick up a few fashion tips........shruggs..or you could just continue to check out our men's features here on vintagemahogani ;)

Tips on Tuesdays!: Cargo Pants

If you have not realized yet cargo pants are on the come up in the fashion world today. They have been around for years, however it seems as though they are making a pretty strong come back here recently. Depending on what look you are trying to achieve there are a couple of paths you can take when it comes to wearing them. Here we have Keri Hilson attending the hip hop honor awards, and as you can see the way that she’s worn her cargos is geared more towards a night time look. Her sheer bustier, and open toed booties, gives the cargo pants that extra push needed to achieve this look.  

So, keep in mind when it comes to your cargo pants there is no way to really go wrong with them. You can keep it simple, with a pair Keds and graphic tee or dress them up with heels and provocative top.

Trendsetting Thursday: jean shorts!

Summer is quickly approaching and there are a few essentials that you can not survive without when it comes to your wardrobe. Jean shorts are one of these essentials and today we just want to give you some ideas when it comes to wearing them. As shown in this first picture of Rhianna, she kept it very simple and causual when it came to her jean shorts. Pairing it with an oversized white button up shirt definitely allowed the simplicity of this outfit to come alive. She made sure to go overboard with her accessories with this outfit, but in doing so it didn't take away from it at all.

The second picture gives you a look at some jean shorts on more of the dressed up side. Pairing these jean shorts with an oversized pastel pink blazer and peep toe pumps gives them a totally different feel compared to the first outfit.

So all in all, these two outfis shown here give you a few ideas when it comes to wearing your essential jean shorts this upcoming summer! =)
