summer 2 Fall. shorts, men

The Fall weather calls for outfits that allow you to be warm but still able to keep cool at the same time. Specifically during the early Fall days because we are transitioning out of the Summer so a lot of times it tends to be on the warm side. Therefore making an outfit with shorts and layered tops the perfect combination for the season.

Pharrell Williams is seen above in cuffed denim shorts, and he layered a red plaid button up with a khaki blazer. The layering of the button up and blazer give the indication that it may be chilly where he is located. Making this a great outfit to replicate for early Fall, considering the use of the shorts and layering.

Taking this look to more of a night look we would suggest a few things. First, you could switch out the khaki blazer for a nice fitted leather jacket. If you have not noticed leather (faux leather in most cases) has been quite the trend this summer, so why not carry it over to Fall. Then, switching the camo printed hat to a solid one would be very fitting for the look. Finish it off with an oxford and you are ready for your night on the town. It does not take much to switch this look from day to night and those few pieces that you swapped out can easily be used for other looks.

This look is very similar to the one above, but there are a few differences. For  instance, we are able to see that he went with a third layer (the white tee), there is the use of a dressier pair of shorts, and he is wearing a pair of boots instead of high top sneakers. All together this outfit screams Fall, from the layered tops to the choice of shoes.

Toss the blazer & boots to the side, and put on a cowl neck cardigan with some high top dunks. Those simple steps will put this look right in the casual arena, and allow you to get another outfit out of the shorts and tops. As previously stated it does not take much at all to take any outfit from day to night and vice versa.

If you don't do anything else just remember your layers for Fall, and going simple with a look can never steer you wrong.

Stop by tomorrow for more outfit inspiration utilizing shorts. Till next time..

summer 2 Fall. Men

As we discussed yesterday for the Ladies, you men out there can continue the use of your Summer wardrobe by layering your clothes. Specifically this week we are looking at tank tops. With the right layer over your tank, you are able to recreate one of your favorite summer looks in the Fall.

Above depicts the perfect way for you to layer a tank top with a jean jacket. These jackets (depending on the weight of the material) are normally not too heavy, making it perfect for your mild Fall days.

Another way to get away with still wearing your tank tops during these months, would be to throw a cardigan over top of it. Such as below!

To help visualize this as a Summer look that was transformed into a Fall look, just imagine if he were to remove the cardigan and put on some low top vans. Voila! With those slight changes the look would be  weather appropriate. Also it just goes to show how simple it is to take your Summer tanks and pull them into your everyday Fall apparel.

Tank tops are very versatile & are honestly meant to be worn year round. All it takes is matching it with the right pieces in your closet to make it appropriate for the current season.

That is this weeks Summer [2] Fall piece, be sure to stop by next Wednesday for the next Men's post. In the mean time check out our archive and catch up on older post over men's fashion.

p.s. Remember we will be at Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City for the Gap Grand Opening. Their events will be from 1-5pm.. See you there!

Tee Time for the fellas.

Today we are going to dive right into the fellas post considering it has been about 8 years since we've posted...lol moving right along. If you stopped by the blog yesterday you would know that this week we are taking a look at different t-shirt options for the new semester as well as the fall season. For the ladies we gave them 2 different shirt options, however for the fellas we're thinking that keeping it simple will be best for you all. For that reason we are going to take a look at graphic tees today!

First up we found this great photo of One Direction's group member, Niall Horan. He is seen below in a mint green tee with black writing on it. Paired with this shirt is some khaki colored skinny fit pants..which was a great color to go with considering the shade that he went with for the tee. The khaki color really compliments the minty green and the two colors just mesh really well together. Just think about it, camouflage print has a combination of greens and browns and we all know how great a nice pair of camos can look! (Cue Picture of Chris Brown in camo pants from an older post) For shoes he went with a high top black shoe, along with a black wrist watch, and it also looks like a black belt as well. From our point of view..all of which were worn to go with the black writing on the tee.

All in all we really like the look of this graphic tee, along with the other components of the look. It is a very simple look and it would not take much to create something similar.

We would say that this is an acceptable look for a first date, because it is not too much and not too little. We also suggest that you throw on a jean jacket over the tee to give it a little variation.

Wiz Khalifa has made an appearance or 2 on the blog, and we couldn't stop there. Today we decided to feature him in this black shirt with some form of animated graphics on the front. He went with a dark pair of jeans, and more than likely he went with a pair of Chuck Taylor's. For accessories he went with two gold chains, some large rings, as well as a few colorful beaded bracelets. He also has on a pair of black shades, and a fitted...all of which are very typical for Mr. Wiz.

Now, we really enjoy this look...however there are a few alterations that could be done to take it to the next level. First we would get rid of the chains. Only because the chains are taking away from the attention of the graphic tee. Some may say that it is drawing the attention there, but we see it as a hinderance because they are covering up the main detailing of the tee. Next we would have probably went with a color for the fitted, because the rest of the look is on the darker side. A nice pop of color up there would have been great for this look and we think it would have really brought it together. Other than that we think that the look is on the chill side and it would be a nice look to run some errands or hanging out with some friends.

Check out Ryan Lochte and Kris Smith for some other graphic tee looks, above. They kept it very clean and simple and your attention is on the tee, as it should be considering that that is the key piece to the outfit. Some great websites for you to look at for some well priced graphics are below.

If you couldn't tell from the posts the graphic tee is a very versatile garment. Depending on what you pair with the tee, determines whether it is more on the casual side or dressy side.

Casual options: a jean jacket, bright colored shoes, fitted hats, & vests..etc.
& Dressier options: fitted blazers, fedoras, oxfords or lace up boots..etc.

Well Fellas, that's about all we have to offer you this week! We hope you found something that could enhance your wardrobe..and if that's the case always remember that VM. hooked you up. Be sure to continue to check back this week we have some interesting posts to come! Thanks for all the support & remember to comment and follow!

Colorblock for Men: Take 2!

Hey fellas...sorry about the post being late but better late than never right? This week we're posting about color block and giving you  few ideas on how to incorporate it in your wardrobe. We've posted about this subject matter before [LINK 1LINK 2] , but now we're doing a bit of a refresher course. With that being said...let's hop into today's post!

If you look at the picture to the left you'll notice color blocking for men in a casual sense. These men on the runway have quite bright colors on but you don't have to really do the exact same. Start with something subtle...for instance:

Do this Soft Mustard Yellow V-Neck with these Blue Chino Pants...cuff them... then for shoes you can do something like these Light Brown Sperry's and a nice watch or even this Green Sailor Knot Bracelet for more of a color blocking effect. There you have it...a simple/casual, color- blocking outfit!
Okay fellas....look to the right.. I know you're thinking "what are we supposed to be looking at?". This black and white picture is for color blocking inspiration! Color block can be achieved with simple, neutral colors like black, white, and gray! For example:
Start with these Black Chino Shorts and pair it with a plain, Grey v-neck. Then for shoes you throw on a pair of these White Sneakers. To complete the look go with this Black G-Shock Watch and you're all set!

Moving on to the last look....a brighter, dressy-casual color block look.

Here we have stylist Brad Goreski in a great color block look that we really love!! He paired a royal blue blazer with a pink button up and yellow pants...then he tied it all together with a black belt/accessories.

To get a look similar to Brad's, start with this Brown Tweed Modern Cut Blazer and pair this Red/Coral Solid Dress Shirt underneath and then do this pair of Mustard/Yellow Pants. Tie the outfit all together with brown meaning brown belt, oxford shoes, and watch!

Well fellas...that's all we have for today. If there's any questions or comments you may have, feel free to leave them, we love feedback!

Fall Essential Series: Essential 1 for Men!

Hey Fellas!!! We told you this series was coming and well....it's here....Our Fall Essentials Series!!! By the way this series will last approximately 7 weeks and will cover all the items needed to contribute towards a fashionable fall wardrobe. So....let's get into it!!

Fall Essential 1: The Cardigan!

Now we put the cardigan as a part of our Back to School Essentials- Layers  post but we didn't cover it as thoroughly as we will today.
  • Cardigans are one of the most versatile items that one can own because of the effortlessness it takes for an outfit to go form casual to dressy with just a throw on of a cardigan.
  • They're a layer that can provide warmth while still providing style because we know some jackets and sweaters can be bulky and mess up an outfit.
  • It can be the very thing that will make an outfit/polish it off
  • They come in many different styles, colors and prints like stripes and vintage.

With that being said....we'll show you some celebrities in cardigans and how to get the same look for less!

The first cardigan look comes from VintageMahogani. favorite, Chris Brown of course. He is giving us an example of a pretty casual cardigan look.

He has on a red/black buffalo plaid cardigan layered on top of a plain white tee. He paired the top and cardigan with some slightly cuffed, dark denim cut-off shorts and a pair of gold high-top sneakers.

We really love this outfit and we'll tell you how to get a similar look!

Start with this Navy/Cream Vintage-Style Cardigan and pair this underneath White V-Neck Tee. For shorts do something like these Taupe/Khaki Raw Hem Shorts and slightly cuff them like Chris' shorts. Then for shoes you can do a pair of high top sneakers like these Black Vans California Waxed Switchback Sneakers or even these lo-top Black Chuck Taylor All Star Slim Leather Sneakers

Moving on to Cardigan Look 2: The Dressy-Casual Outfit...

Kanye is seen to the right wearing a plain white tee and a white cardigan with pink, rust, and blue accents. We can't see the bottom of this outfit but he probably had a pair of dark denim jeans and sneakers or even moccasins.
To get a little similar look to Kanye's...start with this Black/Cream Color Block Sweater Cardigan. You can put this Heather Grey Heathered Knit V-Neck  underneath and wear these pair of Red/Maroon Chino pants. As far as shoes go you can do something like this pair of Black Plimsoll Sneakers

For the last look...A Dressy Cardigan Outfit.

Okay, for the last look we'll be showing you we got a picture of Chuck Bass from a show called Gossip Girl. He dressed his cardigan completely up. If you look to the left, you'll see that Bass is wearing a Navy/Red argyle print cardigan with a pink button-up layered underneath. He then paired it with a pair of grey slacks and we can only imagine dress shoes. He polished the outfit off with a white/navy/red tie.

We absolutely love the color combination of this whole outfit!

To get a look similar to Chuck Bass' dressy cardigan outfit, start with this Black Button-Up and you can do something like this  Red/Black/Grey V-Neck Tipped Cardigan to put over it. For pants and shoes you can do this pair of Black Slacks and these Charcoal Feathers Canvas Stentorian Oxfords. Then to polish off the outfit go ahead and do a printed tie like this Red/Black/Gray/White Narrow Striped Tie 1 or Striped Tie 2  since you do have the outfit plain black all the way down.

Well fellas...that's all we have for this post. We hope that we gave you a few nice outfit suggestions you can see yourself wearing and feel free to leave us a few comments!

Men: Back to School Essentials Series Recap!

Hey fellas ....we know that we said we would have a Back to School Essential for you this week which would make 5, but we've decided to leave it at the 4.

For a quick recap:

  • The first Back to School Essential were SHOES that you can wear comfortably around campus while still looking stylish. We showed you three different pairs of shoes and how you could dress them casually and then dress them up. The ladies appreciate a well dressed man and a man that takes care of his shoes, so this post will help you out.

  • The second Back to School Essential was TEES. We showed you a look wearing a tee casually, a tee worn dressy, and a graphic tee look. The outfits shown were pretty legit, especially the graphic tee look worn by blog favorite, Chris Brown. We gave you fellas some outfit suggestions in there that are really easy to achieve and are feasible outfit ideas to wear around campus.

  • The third Back to School Essential was JEANS. In this post we introduced the distressed jean worn by Trey Songz , the colored jean worn by Kanye, and a dressy-casual outfit with jeans worn by Pharrell...these men are all blog favorites as well. The outfit suggestions in the post are really ones you can wear around campus and then the dressy-casual look with jeans is one that is really easy to get.

  • The last/fourth Back to School Essential was LAYERS. When we say layers, we're talking about the ones you can layer on top of your clothing. We went over the cardigan (which we will cover more thoroughly in our Fall Essentials series that starts next week), the hoodie, and a regular jacket. We gave you guys some tips and outfit suggestions that should be taken into consideration regarding the hoodie and regular jacket.

Well fellas...we hope that you enjoyed our Back to School Essentials mini-series ....the links to the posts are in the words that are in red and bold. Feel free to leave any comments or questions you may have.

B.T.S.E. #4 for Men!

Hey fellas..we know you thought that we forgot all about your Back to School Essential #4 but we definitely didn't ...so here it is. Like we did for the ladies...we're going to do a brief post for you over layers...meaning cardigans, hoodies, and regular jackets. Layers are pretty much a back to school essential since classrooms can get cold. With that being said let's get into it..!

LAYER 1: The Cardigan

Cardigans are a very popular layering item that almost everyone should have in their wardrobe. We'll be covering the cardigan more thoroughly in our Fall Essentials Series that will start next week. For the basic things we can say about it is that they come in many different styles, colors, and prints. Also, they are a layer that can still be fashionable while keeping you warm.

An outfit idea for this Black, Grey, and Blue Stripe Knit Cardigan is to pair it with this pair of Tan Woven Pants and a Plain Classic Tee in Mustard underneath to give this outfit some color. As far as shoes go you can do something similar to this pair of Urban Outfitters Canvas Plimsoll Sneakers in Black. Simple!

Moving on to LAYER 2.....A Regular Jacket

Now we know you're probably wondering how can we tell you how to wear a regular jacket...but really it's just a suggestion. Most of the time when you throw on jacket it might not go with what you have on because you just grab it and put it on so you're not cold. For a more put together look...we suggest that if you know you might need a jacket try to coordinate it with what you may have on or chose to wear.

For instance let's say you went with something similar to this pair of Faded Grey Straight Leg Jeans and just wore them with this Black/White Graphic Tee. The outfit is pretty simple especially color wise...so if you find yourself getting chilly...throw on the Navy/Turquoise Colorblock Zip-Up Jacket and it'll add some color. As far as shoes go...you can do the same Urban Outfitters Canvas Plimsoll Sneakers that were suggested above but do the yellow color to add some more color to the outfit.

LASTLY...LAYER 3....THE HOODIE.

Okay we know you're probably wondering the same thing... a tip on a hoodie? ...Well it's not a big suggestion...just that you try to look as put together/presentable as possible with a hoodie on. Also...keep in mind the outfit you wear underneath just in case you get hot and want to take the hoodie off.

For instance if you went with the Cream/Charcoal Striped Knit Pullover that's shown in the picture to the left you can do something like these Tan Woven Pants and a black tee paired under the hoodie. As far as shoes go you can do a pair of Red Chuck Taylor All Stars. It's a presentable outfit with or without the hoodie.

Well fellas....that was our brief post over layers and a few outfit suggestions with them. Be looking forward to your last Back to School essential post Wednesday and look forward to the Fall Essentials series we will be doing starting next week!

B.T.S.E. #3 for the fellas!

Well fellas...we know you've had to wait a couple of days on your post but here it is! Our Back to School Essentials mini-series continues and this week we're coming with item number #3.... JEANS, JEANS, JEANS!! Jeans is something that any student can't go with out because the comfort they give, variety they come in, and the effortlessness it takes to dress them up and down. With that being said...let's get into it!!

For jeans look number one we went with Trey Songz wearing a pair of "distressed" jeans. He paired a white tee underneath a black jacket and a pair of black sneakers with his jeans. This look is really easy to achieve. A good place to get a distressed jeans right off top is Abercrombie.

To get a casual/campus look with a pair of distressed jeans start with this pair of A&F Classic Straight Leg Jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch and do this White Deep V-Neck Tee from Urban Outfitters. Then layer this Red/Black Checkerboard Shirt on top of the white tee and roll the sleeves up. As far as shoes go, you can do something similar to this pair of Grey Urban Outfitters Canvas Sneakers.

To get a dressy-casual look with this pair of distressed jeans of course do the same jeans and you can do this  Oxford Shirt in White layered underneath this Classic Cardigan in Red. For shoes do something on the dressy side like this pair of Black/Beige U.O. Slim Sole Oxfords.

Moving on to Look 2...Colored Jeans.

Okay moving on to another jean look...Kanye is seen in a pair of colored jeans/pants with a denim button-up layered on top of a white tee. Then he just did a pair of white sneakers to top the outfit off. This look is really easy to achieve and goes to show you guys can wear colored jeans too. After all, Kanye is one of the most fashionable celebrity men out there.

To get a casual look with a pair of colored jeans start with this pair of Green Social Collision Jeans. Then you can do a white tee like Kanye or you can do a graphic tee/tank like this White Tank with Black Stripes. Then you can do Blue Crate Chambray Shirt for the denim shirt layer or you can do this Levis Denim Jacket. As far as shoes go you can do something like this pair of Black Vans E Street Surf Sneaker

For a dressy-casual look with the green colored jeans do the same pair and then you can do a plain black tee layered underneath this Grey/Black Contrast Knit Cardigan. For shoes do something similar to this pair of Grey U.O. Slim Sole Oxfords

Lastly...we wanted to show you a look more on the dressy side with a pair of jeans. Pharrell wore a grey blazer with black polka dots on it, a white button-up, and a black bow tie with his jeans. We couldn't see the shoes but we're pretty sure he went with a pair of black dress shoes...oxfords or wingtip shoes of some sort.

To get this look, start with this Grey Classic Jacket and put this Black Button-Up underneath. For your jeans you can do this pair of dark Levi Denim Jeans and then for a bow tie you can do this Red Cremieux "Natte" Bow Tie. Lastly...shoes... You can do something like this pair of Black/Grey Bed Stu Quarter Oxfords and you're all set!

Well fellas...we hope that we gave you an outfit idea or two that you can actually see yourself wearing. Feel free to leave any questions or comments you may have!

B.T.S.E. #2 for Men!

Okay fellas...new week...new tip. We're still in our Back to School Essentials mini-series and this week we are bringing you a back to school essential that we know all of you should have...tees. Whether it be a plain v-neck or some sort of a graphic tee, this item is essential to a college student's wardrobe because of the effortlessness if takes to wear one casually or dressed up. So sit back, relax, take a few notes, and go out and get some tees for your wardrobe!

Tee Look 1: The Plain Tee

Okay...if you look to the left, you'll see Chad Ochocinco in casual outfit with a plain tee. He has on a grey v-neck, a pair of blue pants, and a pair of grey sneakers of some sort. This is honestly the easiest look of this post and just in general that one can achieve.

Start with BDG Deep V-Neck Tee in white. (Trying to show you guys a different color option besides what is shown) Then throw on these Taupe...almost peach Slim Bedford Chino Pants. For shoes you can do something similar to this pair of Vans E Street Surf Sneaker in Indigo, Creative Recreation Kaplan Sneaker in Grey, or do something different and try these printed Trees Southwest Sneakers

Moving on to Tee Look #2...the Graphic Tee

Okay... Tee look number 2 comes from none other than blog favorite, Chris Brown. If you haven't noticed by now we feature him a lot. He's very fashionable and almost everything that we've blogged about he's worn it... and Well! C.B. is seen wearing a graphic tee underneath a light denim jean jacket paired with denim jeans. This goes to show you that you can wear jeans and a jean jacket...the right way. Then he finished the look off with a red fitted and green and red sneakers. This look is fairly easy to achieve, but we'll show you a different route you can go as far as denim.

Start with this White and Black Printed Tee from Urban Outfitters. Then instead of doing a pair of denim jeans, try something similar to these Olive Chino Pants. For your jean jacket you can do this Jean Vintage Denim Jacket. For shoes you can do this pair of Red Vans Authentic Sneaker or even these Red Chambray Sneakers

Moving on to the last Tee look...A versatile/Dressy-Casual Tee outfit!

Okay for this last look, we wanted to show you a look that we consider dressy-casual and one that can be worn with a plain tee or a graphic tee. Kanye is seen to left in a white blazer over his white tee, a pair of denim jeans, and a pair of black loafer type shoes with detailing on them. The blazer and shoes contribute towards the dressy side and the white tee and denim jeans contribute towards the causal side.

To achieve this look start with a blazer similar to this Heather Grey Knit Blazer form 21 Men. Now you can go one of 2 routes...you can do something like this Plain V-Neck in Dark Green or you can do a graphic tee like this Yellow/Black Dennis Hopper Tee. For pants you can do the same pair with either shirt...something dark wash like this pair of Levi 511 Commuter Series Jeans. Now whatever shirt you chose will determine what shoes you do. If you went with the dark green tee then you can do something similar to this pair of Light Grey McKinley Oxfords or step outside the box and do a printed shoe like these Osborn Classic Conte Oxfords :-) . Now if you went with the yellow graphic tee you can go with something similar to this pair of Black Wingtip Shoes

Well fellas...that's all for this post. We hope we gave you some outfit ideas you can see yourself in and you learned the versatility of a plain/graphic tee if you didn't already know. Feel free to leave any questions or comments you may have! :-)

Back to School Essentials for Men!

Hey fellas...this week we are kicking off another series, but this will be a 4 week mini-series over Back to School Essentials. After this series we will be getting you ready for Fall with our Fall Essentials Series. Yesterday we did a post for the ladies regarding comfortable/stylish shoes for those on campus walks. You still want to look fly but don't want to do too much and wear uncomfortable shoes. Well, we'll show you a few pair and how to dress them up and down! So let's get started...

Okay fellas...look to the left and you'll notice this pair of Aztec Printed Plimsoll Sneakers from Urban Outfitters. We wanted to show you something different by showing you a printed sneaker. You can wear this pair of shoes casually and on the dressy-casual side event though they are sneakers!

For a casual look wearing these shoes start out with this BDG V-Neck Tee in the Burnt Orange color. Pair these Levi 511 Commuter Series Pants in the khaki color. These 2 key pieces are that's required to achieve a casual look with these shoes. Easy Right?

Moving on to a look that more on the dressy-casual side. We know it's hot outside so you can do this Urban Renewal Solid Tank Top in the Mocha/Brown color and then layer it under this Green Hawkings McGill Classic Cardigan. It's light-weight so you won't get too hot. Now for a fall dressy-casual look try this Light Grey Button Up underneath this Light Blue Urban Renewal Vintage Cardigan. For bottoms, both top looks can be paired with a pair of dark denim jeans like these.

Moving on to shoe #2...

Okay now look to the right and you'll see this pair of Grey Feathers Canvas Stentorian Oxford. These may seem like they'd just contribute to a dressy look but they can be worn casually too with a change of a few pieces.

To achieve a casual look with these shoes, start with these Dark Indigo Denim Jeans and you can wear something like this Black/White Crew in NYC Tee or even this BDG 3-Color Blocked Stripe V-Neck Tee in either color.
For a keep these on the dressy-casual side you can do this pair of Levi 511 Commuter Series Pants in Charcoal or even these Hawkings McGill Chino Pants in Black. For the top half of the outfit you can do a plain white tee layered underneath this Red/Black Hawkings McGill Colorblock Cardigan

Lastly...shoe number 3!

If you above you'll see a pair of Tan Converse Jack Purcell Leather Boat Shoes. You can wear these boat shoes casually and dressy with ease.

To wear them on the casual side you can do a pair of dark denim jeans like these Levi 511 5-Pocket Skinny Commuter Series Jeans and a graphic tee like this Obey Genuine Article Tee. Really simple...

Then to wear these shoes on the dressy casual side you can keep the same pair of dark denim jeans on and you can do a button up like this Red Hawkings McGill Solid Pinpoint Oxford Shirt and this Tan Urban Renewal Vintage Cardigan layered on top. If you haven't noticed a nice cardigan and button up can take an outfit a long way on the dressy-casual side.

Well guys...we hope we gave you a few outfit ideas that you can see yourself wearing and some shoes you would like to purchase. Stay tuned for next week's post as our B.T.S.E. series continues!

Summer Series 2: Camo Print for Men

Okay fellas...last week we did color-blocking tips for you as well and hope that you looked at it and want to try something new. Now this week we are doing another summer print for you guys that is a little more subtle...camo print. For some reason camo print is always appropriate for the summer and a numerous amount of male celebrities like Big Sean, Jay Z, and Lil Wayne wear camo print. So we are going to show you how they've incorporated camo print in their wardrobe and how you can get a similar look.

First we're going to start out with Big Sean. We love his style and he's definitely going to become someone that is featured on the blog quite a bit. If you look to the bottom left...he is seen in a black snapback with blue detailing to match his blue low-top shoes. He put on a black tank with his camo shorts and wore some black socks pulled up. Now we know that you guys may not want to go with the socks but this look is really easy to achieve.

Okay you can start out with this pair of  Free World Welland Camo Cargo Shorts from Zumiez. This is just one of many places to get a pair of camo shorts from. Then you can get this Zine Fixed Black Tank Top from Zumiez as well. So far you have the same exact look we're pretty sure for wayyyy cheaper than what he paid. Now as far as the hats go...just get whatever snapback you prefer and you can match your shoes to it if you'd like to. Just refer back to this picture while shopping...We have a mobile version for the blog that we know for sure works on iPhones and Androids.

So if you wanted to go a more subtle route as far as shoes/style..look at the picture of Jay-Z below.. He is seen in camo shorts also but paired it with a white tee and black sneakers. It's more clean-cut...and we like that!

This look is extremely easy to achieve, just do the same camo shorts that were listed above and you can do a plain white tee and black shoes. If you wanted to do a tee with color, you can do this BDG V-Neck Tee from Urban Outfitters in the Orange color with the same camo shorts. For shoes, do something similar to this pair Tan Converse Jack Purcell Leather Boat Shoes
If you wanted to do a different color scheme...try this pair of Grey Camo Shorts from Hot Topic. This pair of camo shorts will allow you to do another bright colored shirt. So try the BDG V-Neck Tee in PINK...yes PINK. Then just do a simple pair of black low-top sneakers like these Black Monochrome Chucks

Now....for the last look with camo shorts..you can do something similar to what Lil Wayne did...He is one that is fond of camo print and it looks great on him! Look to the left..he is seen in a pair of camo shorts, a graphic sweatshirt, "sloppy socks", and a pair of low-top blue sneakers.
This goes to show you that you don't have to do a plain colored tee or tank with your camo shorts. So if you wanted to go with the more traditional camo colored shorts ---> Welland Camo Cargo Shorts from Zumiez then you could do this Yellow Vans Elect Tee. For shoes you can do the Black Monochrome Chucks in the tip above and you're all set. It's up to you on whether or not you want to do the socks and hat.
Now if you wanted to do the Grey Camo Shorts from Hot Topic..you can do this Keep A Breast Foundation Graphic Tank. This would go great since it is black and it has red and white in it if you weren't sure. Then just do the same black chucks or you could do red low-top ones if you wanted to. So you can look fly while fighting for a cause!

Now look to the left...Wayne is seen wearing a camo print tank..he loves his camo. He paired the tank with a pair of printed jeans, but we suggest that you keep it simple and go with some plain cargo shorts.

Start with this Altamont Shootdown Camo Tank ...it's the SAME EXACT tank he has on in the picture. Free World Khaki Cargos  or these  Black Free World Cargo Shorts either one would look good. Now depending on what cargo shorts you go with ...that will determine the shoe we suggest. If you do the khaki cargos then you can do something similar to the Black Monochrome Chucks (they pretty much go with everything) and if you go with the black cargo shorts you can do something similar to these Tan All Star Vintage Material Low-Top Chucks

Well guys...we hope that we gave you some helpful tips and outfit ideas that you can see yourself buying. We got the links for the pieces from Zumiez, Hot Topic, Urban Outfitters, and Converse. Don't forget to leave any questions or comments you may have and be on the look out for your supplemental video tip/pictures on Friday.

Summer Series 2: Plaid Video

Like we did for the ladies....we're doing for the fellas as well. We'll be giving you an additional tip, on video, for the item/look we blog about for the week. As some of you may know...this week's tip was over plaid and how you can incorporate plaid pieces in your wardrobe. For the video we'll show/give you an idea of a casual plaid look and a "dressy" plaid look. We kept the video short, sweet, and right to the point! Enjoy!

Like we said...don't forget to leave any additional questions, comments, or concerns you may have!!

Summer Series 2: Plaid

Considering that it is very uncommon for men to be seen in animal print we wanted to give you something that you could actually benefit from. So this week we are going to discuss plaid and how to wear it. However, we will give you what we can to ensure you that there are men out there that take a step out of the norm and wear animal prints.
f.y.i.: The only items that we could find on men that was worth commenting on were on shoes, so enjoy or at least try to!

Here we have Scott Disick, Kourtney Kardashian's other half. He is seen here wearing animal print loafers. He got a lot of backlash for these shoes, however we do not think that they look half bad. He is seen below in 3 totally different outfits and it really shows you that you can take one piece from your wardrobe and put it with other pieces to make multiple outfits. As you can see he kept the range of colors for his clothing around the same tone. So, we suggest that if you are going to give some animal print shoes a try, to keep everything else pretty neutral just because the shoes are making a loud enough statement for the entire outfit. SN: We want to commend him for trying something different, because we are all about people expressing themselves through fashion.

Moving right along to plaid! Since we started you off with a little commentary for animal prints we'll keep the rest of the post pretty brief, that way you won't be reading a short story for your tips this week!..lol

Here we have Wiz Khalifa, sporting a long sleeved plaid button-up. He kept his entire outfit kind of on the skater boy/hip-hop side. We say this because of the sagged pants and the snap-back. We enjoy this look, and it is not that complicated to replicate it. Start off with a plaid shirt, it doesn't really matter what color you go with whatever you think looks the best on you! Then put on some slightly fitted jeans, and with the plaid we prefer a darker wash just because visually it'll look better with the plaid. For shoes, try some original Chuck Taylors..we're more than certain that that's what Mr.Wiz went with (he's apart of the Taylor Gang!) also it will look great with this outfit. Throw on a snap-back and some geek-chick glasses and you're set. Now as far as accessories go, there really is no need for the huge chain that he has on...but we think that a nice large faced watch will look great on your arm. Also, wearing a belt is up to you we suggest that you do something a little less subtle than Khalifa did but that is totally up to you!

Now, if you want to do more of a summer look, when it comes to those plaid shirts try something like Feature Friday's Brent did. His outfit is very similar to Wiz's minus all of the accessories. He kept his look rather simple, and instead of dark-washed jeans he has on camo cargo shorts with his button-up. To add a splash of color Brent went with some burgundy colored Chuck Taylors & it compliments the outfit well. He threw on his RayBan's and he was ready to go!

We consider this look to be for summer, based on the fact that he is wearing shorts of course & also because the material of his shirt was very light-weight. Therefore it was not making him overheated when it was 100+ outside.

So, there you have it some quick tips on plaid shirts. Remember go with the light-weight material shirts, not those wool ones that you may see in wal-mart....it's tooo hot for those right now! Also try and throw in a bright color when it comes to those accessories to really make those plaid shirts stand out!
