Spring::fashion::Forward: Men's Edition

Hello to all of our Male readers!! As you know today we are giving you your first post for our new series for the spring. Today we are going to get into how to incorporate the color yellow into to your wardrobe, in a fashionable way. So stayed tuned, and pull out some paper for notes!

Yellow can be a little tricky to add to the wardrobe if colors are an unknown territory for you. Just because majority of the hues of yellow can be pretty overwhelming and harsh on the eyes.

If you are a little nervous about throwing on some color, try it in baby steps.

For example, to our left we have J.Cole in a yellow fitted. The rest of his outfit looks to be quite simple, white tee, black leather, probably some jeans and a pair of sneaks. Then we have Chris to our right with a yellow pocket square. It's bright but not overtaking the outfit. If you were to replicate either one of these looks it would give you just enough of a color pop to catch someones attention.
We suggest these looks to those that want to experiment with some color but are not ready to take on a full pant or blazer look yet. Just remember when it comes to bright colors to keep your look simple. Think about it..how obnoxious would it look if J. Cole  would have wore a yellow leather jacket with matching shoes with his look. Or Chris with some yellow jeans and yellow oxfords to compliment the pocket square?.. Keep it simple and you can not go wrong.

Now let's take a look a some outfits that allow some of those daring males can express themselves in.
Here we have a look that incorporates yellow amazingly. This is a look that you would wear to an on-campus dressier event. Not so much for a party or outside activity. Now if you are wanting that extra attention we say go for it, wear it wherever you would like
This gentleman is wearing a printed button up, with a stripped cardigan along with a mustard colored pant. As far as fashion goes this look is a little complex and would take some work to perfect. However we want  to you to look at a few items that will simplify the look, but still give you that same feeling of style.
-We want to start you off with a white-button up shirtvery versatile and you'll use it time and time again.**
-Next we suggest that you do go with a cardigan that has a stripe to it. gives you a similar look to this one but not exactly, also the color on the sleeve gives you an extra pop to the look.
-For your pants and go with a mustard shade of yellow, again relating to the look to the right. Roll them up if you're feeling adventurous that day!
-For shoes do either a loafer or even a muted oxford
All in all a very similar look but a few changes that enable you to really compliment your pants.

** If you wanted to do a printed top we suggest going with a plain cardigan, and also to do a subtle print such as what he is shown wearing. Just because you don't want to overwhelm your viewers with a print, a patterned cardigan, and a bright color. Again keep your yellow in moderation.

Not feeling the yellow pants, try a blazer!
As we all know Chris B. is no stranger to the style game. Seen to our left, he is wearing a long-sleeved nautical shirt, yellow blazer, and boat shoes. As far as the styling goes it's not our favorite, but it is something that can be revamped and made to look official.
Since it's spring start off with either a stripped short sleeve or tank
On top of that you are going to put on either a blazer or cardigan. Depending on the weather that day a blazer may be too warm, so a cardigan will definitely do the trick
For pants we say go with a black or dark jean to offset the yellow. And as far as shoes go, we suggest some oxfords..wanna add some edge, throw on some combat boots!

There you have it, a few ideas on how to incorporate yellow. Depending on if you want to go with a lighter yellow or a mustard tone we gave you somewhat of a starting ground to get the ball rolling. As always, keep it simple! We suggest that if you want to be daring throw on some yellow and impress your friends.
