Fall Essential 3: Corduroy for Women!

Hey everyone this week we are back on track.....again!! We've been super busy, however without further a due we will start today off with our post for the ladies as usual. We are covering corduroys this week for fall essential 3 and we want to make sure that we fill you in as much as possible over them so continue your reading!

P.s. we hope every one's Thanksgiving was amazing! ours truly was...we enjoyed spending time with our families and being thankful, however we do wish the holiday lasted longer! = / ..Now back to the post!

As you can tell these fall months have been rather chilly and we are moving into the winter rather quickly. The best way to combat that (pants wise) is to throw on some corduroys! They are normally pretty thick and the material is rather warm. Unlike most warm but still cute clothing items these pants come in quite a few options. So we are here to give you our advice on the selection process!
Sarah Jessica Parker A stylish Sarah Jessica Parker, wearing cuffed corduroy pants and a floppy hat, leaves her apartment building to head to a business meeting with a cup of joe in hand.
Here we have both Jessica Alba and Parker wearing their corduroys in a casual fashion. They both seem to have given the pants a bohemian-relaxed look. Relating to the colors, the fit of Alba's shirt and scarf and Parker's hat and side bag. Either way it goes both looks are quite simple to recreate and put your own spin to.
Starting with Ms. Alba's look, here we have some skinny light colored corduroys, with a loose fitting tee**. Keeping with the neutral colors we think that this scarf will really put the look together. Now if you do not own any lace-up boots, we really suggest that you invest in them! They are an amazing investment and are very versatile, also they'll keep your feet warm (with cozy socks) during the fall/winter. However, a simple tennis shoe will do with this look. Also, try and do a pop of color for your shoes..the addition of a random color always takes your outfit to another level!
Moving right along to Ms. Parker's look, she has on a washed out green pant cuffed at the ankle along with a button-up , some black boots, a floppy hat, a side bag and a sweater in case it gets cold. Now listing each item off did seem like there was a lot to this look but not really. You can take those same pants that were listed with Alba's look cuff them at the ankle, pull out one of your button-up shirts...throw on a hat and your ready to go. Wearing a heeled boot to class may not be in your agenda (definitely not in ours) but to get a similar look try on some black flats, loafers, or again do a simple tennis shoe in a darker color. As far as the hat goes, if you do own a floppy hat a fedora will also look really cute with this outfit and really add a little flare to it.

Both outfits are rather easy to achieve and as far as accessories go keeping it simple will be the best bet. With a relaxed look it's always good to keep everything simple...more on the i just threw this own type feel. You never want to look like you tried too hard with the relaxed look!
Also, for either look a tall flat boot will definitely work if you want to keep your feet warm, rather than the flats or tennis shoes.
** No need to add an extra expense to your life by purchasing an oversized tee, throw on a chill shirt from the house or one of your boyfriends/brothers..either way to spend unnecessary money.

Moving right along, here we have a super cute corduroy outfit brought  you from Teen Vogue
We couldn't find a cute enough outfit from a celeb in shorts so we thought that this one would definitely do! This women has on some fabulous oversized corduroy shorts in a camel color. Along with the shorts she has on an oversized long sleeved striped shirt with a grey charcoal boyfriend blazer layered over top. Making this look appropriate for the fall she has on some thick black tights along with some fur trimmed booties. We absolutely LOVE this look and to recreate this is not too complicated. Also it would not be too hard to transition this look into a dressy look.
Start off with your oversized shorts, now the shorts here are a little bit form fitting in the rear. To achieve the oversized look as in the photo, try a bigger size. Tuck in an oversized long-sleeve giving you the comfy look. And for some extra warm throw on an oversized blazer. Don't forget your tights, to combat those fall breezes. Throw on any shoe that you feel is a compliment to the outfit. Such as, a tennis shoe, oxford, or a flat boot. As the lady did, a few rings will add some personality to the look and you are on your way.

Making this dressy would take, a closer fitting shirt in a bold print, and a heeled boot or pump will be sufficient. Some nice long, stand-out earrings will really say: I'm going out!..lol Throw a clutch under your arm and keep the blazer, shorts, and tights the same and your ready to go out for drinks!
See dressing this one up is not too hard.
To end this post, we're going to finish off with a dressy look from Ms.Vanessa Hudgens. She is seen here with a flare fit corduroy pant. More of a vintage approach to the corduroy pant. She kept it simple with a sheer chiffon animal print blouse. A brown thin belt and it looks like some type of orange or brown earring. Simple. We want to give you this same outfit but a little extra to spice it up!

Take some dark colored flare corduroy and pare it with this bold sheer top to offset the dark pants. Don't forget to tuck it in! Next let's try some leopard pumps on the feet rather than on the shirt. Put on a thin belt, throw on some amazing earrings like these and you are ready for any event.

All of these looks are fly and as explained they are not hard at all to replicate. All it takes is an amazing pair of corduroys and you are ready to start piecing together fall/winter ready outfits! Remember as always keep it simple! If you have any questions or comments leave them below!
Stay tuned for the rest of the week it's sure to be entertaining!

sidenote: sorry the post was soooo long we wanted to make sure we covered this item thoroughly considering we skipped last week! ;)
